Special Olympics - Ride to the Olympic Village yay - Woo-hoo - We have been invited, once again, to participate as part of the 2022 Special Olympics after a two-year COVID shutdown. If you have never joined us before, please consider riding this year. The athletes participating in the Special Olympics love seeing the bikers, sitting on the bikes, having their pictures taken and speaking with everyone. This will all be taking place at the Olympic Village - Penn State University at University Park. I'm asking all who are interested please give me (Steve LaMar) a heads up if possible so that number can be passed on to Olympic Village coordinators for their preparations. This activity typically runs 12:30 - 2:00 pm. [Little History] This ride was started in 1998 by then HOG & ABATE member Stew Koontz who was working with OPP at Penn State when the idea of an Olympic Village was initiated. 2010 Food Bank Delivery
On October 20 CLR members delivered over $569 in food to the Snow Shoe food bank - helping support 72 families in need. This is a yearly chapter effort - our thanks to all chapter members who support this worthy cause!
Members of Centre Line Riders, the local HOG club, and others rode to the Special Olympics on the Penn State campus to take pictures of the kids sitting on our bikes. The laughs and smiles are priceless!
